ARC® Multimedia Subsystems
The Industry's Leading Configurable, Multi-Standard Multimedia Subsystems Targeting Devices Ranging from Low Power Portable Media Players to High Resolution A/V Systems
ARC International pioneered configurable multimedia subsystems and processors, and is the leader with over 140 customers worldwide who collectively ship more than 300 million ARC-Based chips annually. ARC's Multimedia Subsystems reduce SoC development costs by integrating its patented configurable CPU technology with optimized software and media-centric processing features. They are ideal solutions for consumer devices ranging from low cost portable products to high fidelity and high resolution A/V systems.
Each ARC® Multimedia Subsystem is programmable to create unique solutions. Each supports multiple standards, and comes with a complete set of optimized and pre-integrated audio, imaging, and video codecs as well as development tools. And each is configurable so that unique features can easily be added or removed to increase product differentiation.
Being programmable, it is easy to enhance the subsystem-based solutions by adding pre- and post-processing functions. For example, ARC's multimedia subsystems are ready to incorporate audio post-processing products from Sonic Focus which add value by enhancing consumer experience of today’s audio-capable devices.
