Reference Manuals
ARCompact-ISA Programmer:
The ARCompact Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) reference manual covers all aspects of the ARCompact ISA. It is for programmers developing for ARC-Based(tm) processors including the ARCtangent A5 processor and ARC 600 and 700 core families.

New Low Power RDM for Energy PRO Technology:
A new automated low-power reference design methodology (LP-RDM) has been created by Cadence Design Systems and ARC International, and implemented in the ARChitect Processor Configurator. Using it with ARC’s new Energy PRO technology, customers can achieve up to a four-fold reduction of IP core power by capturing the low-power design intent in RTL and implementing consistently throughout the design flow to GDSII.

Configurable Cores
ARC® 600 Family:
The ARC 600 family of configurable cores is designed for embedded control, computation and DSP tasks in SoCs for consumer, networking, automotive and many other markets. The core family is ideal for battery-operated and cost-sensitive products.
ARC® 605 Core:
The ARC 605 processor core is an ideal solution for a wide range of embedded control and computing functions within SoCs. The core is designed for hard real-time processing, where high speed and deterministic response are required. The highly configurable ARC 605 core is smaller, lower power and provides up to twice the MHz performance of competing cores. Optionally, custom instruction extensions may be incorporated to achieve application performance levels unattainable with fixed architecture cores.
ARC® 610D Core:
The ARC 610D core processor core is ideal for SoC applications which include conventional computation and signal processing algorithms. The core is designed for hard, real-time processing, where high speed and deterministic response are required.
ARC® 625D Core:
The ARC 625D processor core is a full-featured, mid-range embedded core with best-in-class speed, die area and power characteristics. It is designed as a complete processor solution for SoCs targeted at consumer, networking, automotive and other cost-sensitive markets.
Core Options
ARC® XY Advanced DSP Core Option:
ARC XY Advanced DSP adds the power of a true DSP engine to ARC CPU cores, enabling conventional and signal processing computation within a single unified architecture. ARC XY Advanced DSP may be applied to most of the cores within the ARC 600 and ARC 700 families.
ARC® FPX:
ARC FPX Floating Point Extensions add high performance single and double precision math instructions to ARC 600 and 700 core families. ARC FPX dramatically accelerates computations where data sets have a large dynamic range and when high precision is required.
Subsystems
ARC® Sound Advanced Subsystem:
The ARC Sound Advanced Subsystem combines ARC's award-winning 128-bit SIMD accelerator and DMA engine with a 700 family configurable RISC processor. This combination provides a highly tuned audio solution that efficiently processes widely used audio codecs: Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), Dolby® Digital (AC3), MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (MP3) and Windows Media Audio (WMA).
ARC® Player Subsystem:
ARC Player is a programmable subsystem that integrates a media-optimized RISC processor with full portable media player functionality. Ideally suited for price-sensitive SoCs targeting multimedia consumer devices, the ARC Player Subsystem is synthesizable for ASIC and SoC implementations, has a small footprint, and operates at very low power.
